A global shipping company has created an intranet in order to give all employees the optimum conditions to expedite information throughout the organization – cross departments, in order to make the company most efficient and cost effective.
Same company has a press service that includes both an elaborate section on their internet and a sms-service to top journalists in order to affect any media stories immediately.
This company wants to increase the effect of their existing system.
They want to:
a) extend the effect of their intranet beyond the desk top and into the mobile phone and
b) to give the press contacts more complex data than just a sms to the mobile phone.
They will achieve this by adding an extra window – a mobile window – to the database. Now employees can communicate through the intranet worldwide via their mobile phone – with text, pictures and videos as well as journalists can access detailed information and graphics via their mobile phone.
